About Gerard Doheny

Hi, I am Gerard Doheny, Master Craftsman and Luthier.

I have many years’ experience in the design and construction of Irish Instruments, such the Irish Harp, Tenor Banjos and Irish Fiddle.

Over the years, I have taken time to research and develop Irish instruments.  I would like to share my result with you – the quality of the wood, the combination of tonal qualities when different types of wood are used and the choice of strings to create an instrument of high quality.

I hope that when you play your new instrument now and in ten years’ time, the same quality remains and you will look back and know you have made the right choice.
